Maybe 2022 was a hard year for you. Whether that was a heartbreak, a loss, tragedy, struggle, or hardship. An end to a year where you're ready to look into a new year a new you. You want to start over. Start from scratch again. Leave the past behind and look forward.

Maybe 2022 was a highlight point in your life. You had the best year, a huge success, an outbreak in life, a conquered battle, and a new chapter. You're excited for a new year to continue in that same positivity. A past year to remember forever and to let it push you forward.

Whether 2022 is a memory you want to escape from or treasure, what an incredible assurance to know that God in 2022 is the God in 2023.

In those dark moments in 2022 where you didn't see hope, you were hurting, confused about it all, you didn't know if it would ever end. . . the same God is there to comfort you, to hold you, to reassure you that everything is going to be OK through Him. There will be light at the end of the tunnel telling you that you will be stronger through this, whispering it's not over yet.

He tells us in Psalm 46

"Be still and know that I am God!

I will be honored by every nation.

I will be honored throughout the world." (10)

The Lord of Heaven's army is among us; the God of Israel is our fortress (11)

In those cheerful moments in 2022 where blessings kept pouring out one after another, prayers being answered, successes being rejoiced. . . the same God is there to cheer you on so you can see that you are enough, showing you that He is a provider, a waymaker, miracle work, a promise keeper, and the light in all of the darkness.

Do you see it?

He is the same God in 2022 and He will be the same God in 2023. The same God that shows kindness, gentleness, comfort, reassurance, love, and peace is the same God that is all-consuming power, a miracle worker, a God that makes ways you thought were impossible to be possible.

The same God we needed in 2022 is the same God we need in 2023. We need Him in every aspect of our life whether it's in the highs of high of highs or the low of lows. He's the God we need every day in our life. Not just when everything is good or when everything is really bad.

I pray 2023 is the year for you. I pray you cling to Him in the hard times, trusting that He is enough. I pray that you find comfort in His words, reassured, encouraged, and empowered. I pray this year that you praise Him for everything that he has done and will do in 2023. I pray you take time to jump for Joy at all of His blessings and cry out in worship because of how good He is.
