If you have read any books similar to these themes, no judgment. We all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)!

But I do want to dig further into how our society has blind-sided us into believing in "quick fixes". So much so that we become stuck in chasing a facade instead of chasing our heavenly father. We are so pushed to be better, kinder, and happier through our own solemn effort.

We become gullible saying "oh you have a problem? Here's your fix!" *hands over a book*

I know the Lord must look down on us sometimes and think

"why are you looking to find peace when I am the Peace? Why are you searching for Joy when I am Joy? Why are you trying to have more patience on your own when who I am is patience? Why are you chasing happiness when I am the one who will bring you happiness? Why are you reading on ways to find purpose when through me I am the way, the truth, and the life?

His soft gentle voice whispers "just look at me".

Our father tells us, listen to me my sweet child "If I am all you have, you have all you need". (John 14:8)

How reassuring to know he is ALL we need. He is Peace. He is Patience. He is Love, Kindness, Joy, Happiness, and Purpose.

Let's set down the books and stop leaning on artificial fixers and instead look at our father.

He is all our fixin's
