Desiring His Goodness in Our Life

We all desire His goodness . . . but I think we miss how strong these words are and how powerful they can be in our life.

A verse that I have read many times, but only recently has it seeped into my soul is Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close bedside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

When we earnestly desire to see ALL of His goodness, our life is transformed.

He opens doors we never thought possible.

Closes doors we never thought could be closed.

When we deeply desire His goodness in our life we begin to stretch further than we thought we could;

Forgive more

Let go of what we can't control more

Become content in our life at the moment more

Driven to do His purpose in our life more

Energetic to do our part in this world more

Discover peace in His name

I love to pour out to the Lord in prayer saying:

"Lord I deeply desire your purpose in my life, move in me, mold me, build me, show me all your goodness you desire in my life. I desire to grow in deep wisdom, I desire to grow in knowledge, I desire to see you in my life, I desire to see you shape me into who you want me to be, I desire to see your goodness and unfailing love in my life, I desire to see your light shine through me."

Friends, I encourage you to proclaim this prayer because I promise your life will be transformed. He will transform your life to see His goodness. All of His promises He has for your life because I know He has a purpose for you. He has a plan for you. He desires to give you His goodness in your life. He wants you to experience all He has for your life. He desires for your cup to overflow with His blessings. He wants you to be overwhelmed by His goodness. Like the Geyser; He wants His goodness to build up so much to the point that it will pour out in your life.

Old Faithful Geyser
